Microsoft 365 backup

Microsoft 365 is not a complete backup solution. Milnsbridge backs up Microsoft 365 email, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint Online so you can recover deleted mailboxes, emails and files long after the recycle bin or default retention has expired. This helps you meet compliance requirements and protect against accidental deletion, ransomware and insider threats.

Where is my data stored?

Your backup data is stored in Australian data centres to support Australian data sovereignty and compliance requirements.

What does the free assessment include?

A call with a senior technician to review what needs protecting (servers and M365), your current coverage, and RPO/RTO targets.

Difference from OneDrive/Dropbox?

Sync tools replicate changes—including viruses. Backup creates immutable point-in-time recovery versions so you can roll back.

How often is Microsoft 365 backed up?

Microsoft 365 data is backed up every 4 hours (six times per day).

Can you restore individual files?

Yes. Granular restore is available for single files, folders, and selected items.

How fast can you recover data?

Depends on scope. Single files ~30 mins. Full servers ~4 hours. Standby servers <1 hour.

What retention options are available?

Server backups retained up to 3 years. Microsoft 365 backups up to 7 years.

Is it protected against ransomware?

Yes. Cove supports immutable backup protection (Fortified Copies) to protect backups from modification.

Are there any hidden costs?
